OPENING CEREMONIES: Commander Verville called the meeting to order at 1005 hours, 10 FEB 2016. Opening ceremonies were held according to VFW Ritual. Sixteen Post 11447 members were present.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: The Roll Call was taken by Adjutant Burnett. Ten Officers were present, 1 absent.
NEW RECRUITS: The Commander asked if there were any new recruits. The Adjutant read the membership applications for William B. Nahikian and Richard G. Smallwood a Vietnam veteran. Applicant Nahikian is a Desert Storm/Shield veteran. Both applicants meet all requirements for joining. Adjutant made a motion for the applications to be approved, majority voted approval. Welcome aboard Comrades Smallwood and Nahikian.
DISTINGUISHED GUESTS: PDC John Gilbert and Frank Chupka, All-State Cdr Post 10122, Scotch Plains, N.J. and All-American District Cdr. Also in attendance was frequent guest Tom Aldrich from Post 2485.
MINUTES: Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted. The Adjutant said that a copy of the minutes were posted on the bulletin board and on our website. Copies were not sent to all members via Email as Adjutant could not access the mailing list for the minutes. There were no changes to the minutes. The Adjutant made the motion to accept the minutes as posted, seconded by Comrade Best, motion carried.
QUARTERMASTER REPORT: Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report and made the motion to accept the report as audited. Seconded by Comrade Best, motion carried. The report is on file, see the QM if you would like to see the entire report.
SERVICE OFFICER REPORT: The Commander is the Servicer Officer. Life member James “Jim George” George died 4 Feb. Comrade Don Fox had hip surgery and is at home recuperating Looking for some volunteers to help out with burial services, please contact the Commander for more info if needed.
SURGEON'S REPORT: Comrade Houle reported that this year’s Dental Outreach will be held at West Bajac Bajac, Olongapo, sometime in September.

PUP TENT 11: Meeting was held on 11 Feb. First nominations for officers were held.

BEACH BASH COMMITTEE: Beach Bash report should be ready for March meeting.
POST HOUSE/BUILDING COMMITTEE: Canteen doing okay, we have many members and non-members eating and drinking at the canteen.
HOSPITAL/HOME VISITS BY POST MEMBERS: CDR gave the report for JAN visits. 44 members made 43 visits to see 73 vets, spent 153 hours in visits, traveled 1538 miles and gave $ 92 in gifts. Total credited for JAN was $3767.21.
BUDDY POPPY CHAIRMAN: Buddy Poppy donations were P1000 ($22).
VFW NATIONAL HOME FOR CHILDREN: Commander asked the Chaplain to say a prayer for our National Home for Children.
Nominations were reopened for SVC. Comrade Nelson “Mario” Garcia was nominated and election was held. Comrade Garcia was elected by majority of members and installed at the meeting by PDC John Gilbert.

CLOSING CEREMONIES: Closing Ceremonies were held according to Ritual and the meeting was adjourned at 11:15. The next GMM will be held 19 Mar at 1000 hours at the Post Home. Charter was draped in memory of LM “JIM GEORGE”.
