OPENING CEREMONIES: Commander Verville called the meeting to order at 1000 hours, 13 JAN 2016. Opening ceremonies were held according to VFW Ritual. Seventeen Post 11447 members were present.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: The Roll Call was taken by Adjutant Burnett. Eight Officers were present, 3 absent, SVC position remains vacant.
NEW RECRUITS: The Commander asked if there were any new recruits. The Adjutant read the membership application for Paquito C Carolino. Applicant Carolino is a Vietnam Service veteran and meets all requirements for joining. Adjutant made a motion for the application to be approved, majority voted approval. Welcome aboard Comrade Carolino.

MINUTES: Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted. The Adjutant said that a copy of the minutes were posted on the bulletin board and on our website. Copies were not sent to all members via Email as Adjutant could not access the mailing list for the minutes. There were no changes to the minutes. The Adjutant made the motion to accept the minutes as posted, seconded by Comrade Best, motion carried.
QUARTERMASTER REPORT: Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report and made the motion to accept the report as audited. Seconded by Comrade Best, motion carried. The report is on file, see the QM if you would like to see the entire report. Rent for back area of the Canteen due on 16 Jan. P63,000 for six months.
SERVICE OFFICER REPORT: The Commander is the Servicer Officer. Funeral services were held for Comrade Patrick Nielsen. Comrade Tom Mishenko passed away (service was held for him a few days after the meeting at Olongapo Memorial Gardens, seven members attended). Looking for some volunteers to help out with burial services, please contact the Commander for more info if needed.
SURGEON'S REPORT: Comrade Houle reported that this year’s Dental Outreach will be held at West Bajac Bajac, Olongapo, sometime in September.
COMRADE OR FAMILY MEMBER IN DISTRESS: NTR
PUP TENT 11: The PT will hold its meeting on 11 February as the SS, CCDB and others will be at the District 7 meeting 4 February in Baguio.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: QM Burnett gave the report.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The kids will participate in the Beach Bash parade. Christmas party was a success and a lot of fun. Thank you for all who participated.
BEACH BASH COMMITTEE: The venue will be at Mango's on 5, 6 and 7 Feb. Note from Adj: Sponsor donations for the Beach Bash are doing well, mainly through the efforts of the Commander.
POST HOUSE/BUILDING COMMITTEE: Still need more participation in the Daily and Weekly Draws. Canteen in the black this month. Football games are a big reason for being in the black, good turn out from members watching the games. Thank you.
HOSPITAL/HOME VISITS BY POST MEMBERS: CDR gave the report for DEC visits. 40 members made 36 visits to see 95 vets, spent 1270 hours in visits, traveled 1250 miles and gave $203.89 in gifts. Total credited for DEC was $5171.
BUDDY POPPY CHAIRMAN: Buddy Poppy donations were P780 ($17).
VFW NATIONAL HOME FOR CHILDREN: Commander asked the Chaplain to say a prayer for our National Home for Children.
Nominations were reopened for SVC. There were none.
Motion made by Comrade Simms to donate P5000 to the FRALICS at the FRA. An amendment to the motion was made by Comrade Hilliard for this to be a budget item. Amended motion seconded by Comrade Hilliard. Motion was passed after discussion to provide P5000 and make it a yearly budget item.

Building Fund Blocks are still open for purchase of either a Silver or Gold Block. The cost for a Silver Block is P2500 and P5000 for a Gold Block. P117,500 raised to date. See the Commander or QM if you would like to purchase a block.
SUNSHINE Cart project still ongoing weekly at Bay Pointe hospital. If you would like to volunteer see the Commander. We normally meet at 7:30 pm on Fridays at the Out-Patient Dept on the second floor.

Beach Bash Notes:
- The parade will assemble at Columban College parking area at 0800 am. Parade starts at 0900 am. It will end at Drift Wood Beach. Parade sponsored by Ford Subic. Royal Subic will provide 10 cases water and snacks for the parade participants. Candy donations can be dropped off at the Canteen, will be used during the parade.
- Live band on Friday and Saturday at the BB.
Superbowl Party during the game at the VFW. The Football Flag/Helmet winner will be announce following the game. It will be a pot luck event, if you want to bring something. Not a requirement to attend. The kitchen will still be opened. Special priced drinks available.
Fifty/fifty: P2300 and won by Lee Vatter who donated his share to the Scholarship Kids. Thank you Lee.
CLOSING CEREMONIES: Closing Ceremonies were held according to Ritual and the meeting was adjourned at 11:15. The next GMM will be held 10 Feb at 1000 hours at the Post Home. Date of meeting was changed due to many officers attending District 7 Meeting in Baguio on the 4th and travelling on the 3rd.
