OPENING CEREMONIES: Commander Rogers called the meeting to order at 1000 hours, 13 JUL 2016. Opening ceremonies were held according to VFW Ritual. Eleven Post 11447 members were present.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: The Roll Call was taken by Adjutant Burnett. Six Officers were present, 6 absent (3 were excused).
NEW RECRUITS: The Commander asked if there were any new recruits. There are no applications for membership.
MINUTES: Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted. The Adjutant said that a copy of the minutes was posted on the bulletin board. There were no changes to the minutes. The Adjutant made a motion for the minutes to be approved as posted, seconded by Comrade Corbin, motion carried.
DISTINGUISHED GUESTS: Bob Zaher, Past District Cdr and Past Dept Cdr. Also present was Comrade Pat Rusick from Post 2485.
QUARTERMASTER REPORT: Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report and made the motion to accept the report as audited. Seconded by Comrade Chuck, motion carried.
QM said that customer participation at the canteen has improved over the last month. The Post Dues Reserve Fund was transferred to the General Fund on 1 July.
SERVICE OFFICER REPORT: Comrade Verville’s father (Edmond) died 6 July. Memorial Service was held for Past Commander Dennis Doty and Edmond Verville on 7 July. Ed Spears, Mike Best and Bob Wright are not well. Comrade Wright could not attend the meeting as he had a doctor’s appointment.
SURGEON'S REPORT: Dental Outreach will be in West Bajac -Bajac 25 Sep.
COMRADE OR FAMILY MEMBER IN DISTRESS: NTR
PUP TENT 11: Two new Cooties were initiated and joined the Pup Tent: Commander Rogers and Comrade Don Robbins.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: QM Burnett gave the report.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: NTR
POST HOUSE/BUILDING COMMITTEE: Canteen doing okay and has seen some increase in daily customers over previous months. The upcoming NFL football season should increase revenue.
HOSPITAL/HOME VISITS BY POST MEMBERS: Comrade Verville gave the report for JUN visits. 56 members made 52 visits to see 78 vets, spent 101 hours in visits, traveled 808 miles and gave $18 in gifts. Total credited for JUN was $2408.31
BUDDY POPPY CHAIRMAN: Buddy Poppy donations were P605.
VFW NATIONAL HOME FOR CHILDREN: Commander asked the Chaplain to say a prayer for our National Home for Children.
The JVC resigned. The Commander asked for any nominations for JVC. Comrade Don Robbins was nominated and accepted the nomination.
Comrade Verville made a motion for the Post use P20,000 to buy 50 shirts, and beer wrappers/coasters. Motion seconded by Comrade Corbin. Carried.

Besides making All-State again this year, the Post made All-American. This was the first time the Post made All-American.
Past Commander Verville attended the VFW National Convention in July.
No more VA Outreach this year, they will be combined with Embassy Outreaches.
Fifty/fifty: was P1650. P825 went to the winner Comrade Verville, who donated his share to the Scholarship Kids Fund for one of Dennis Doty kids. He added P175 to the P825 to make it P1000. Thank you, Mike.
CLOSING CEREMONIES: Closing Ceremonies were held according to Ritual and the meeting was adjourned at 11:15. The next GMM will be held 10 AUG at 1000 hours.
