OPENING CEREMONIES: Commander Verville called the meeting to order at 1000 hours, 10 MAR 2016. Opening ceremonies were held according to VFW Ritual. Sixteen Post 11447 members were present.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: The Roll Call was taken by Adjutant Burnett. Ten Officers were present, 1 absent.
NEW RECRUITS: The Commander asked if there were any new recruits. The Adjutant read the membership applications for Jim W. Winn a Vietnam veteran and John G. Pung who served in Korea. Both applicants meet all requirements for joining. Adjutant made a motion for the applications to be approved, majority voted approval. Welcome aboard Comrades Winn and Pung.

MINUTES: Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted. The Adjutant said that a copy of the minutes was posted on the bulletin board and on our website. Copies were not sent to all members via Email as Adjutant could not access the mailing list for the minutes. There were no changes to the minutes. The Commander made the motion to accept the minutes as posted, seconded by Comrade Best, motion carried.
QUARTERMASTER REPORT: Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report and made the motion to accept the report as audited. Seconded by Comrade Best, motion carried. The report is on file, see the QM if you would like to see the entire report.
SERVICE OFFICER REPORT: Life member Gary Washburn died around 11 Mar. Comrade Don Fox had hip surgery and is at home recuperating Scott Reid also had hip surgery.
SURGEON'S REPORT: Dental Outreach to be held in West Bajac Bajac in September.
COMRADE OR FAMILY MEMBER IN DISTRESS: NTR
PUP TENT 11: Meeting was held on 11 Feb. First nominations for officers were held.
COMMANDER CALLED FOR COMMITTEE REPORTS:
MEMBERSHIP REPORT: QM Burnett gave the report.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: Comrade Rowe donated shirts to the kids, can be worn to school and/or VFW events.
BEACH BASH COMMITTEE: Beach Bash did well, thank you to all who supported and assisted at the event.
POST HOUSE/BUILDING COMMITTEE: Canteen doing okay, we have many members and non-members utilizing the canteen.
HOSPITAL/HOME VISITS BY POST MEMBERS: CDR gave the report for FEB visits. 38 members made 28 visits to see 48 vets, spent 166 hours in visits, traveled 2610 miles and gave $38 in gifts. Total credited for FEB was $4141.
SEAM SQUIRREL REPORT: Lousy Scratch, Comrade Lee Vatter will be initiated into the Cooties at the next Scratch
BUDDY POPPY CHAIRMAN: Buddy Poppy donations were P934 ($20).
VFW NATIONAL HOME FOR CHILDREN: Commander asked the Chaplain to say a prayer for our National Home for Children.
Nomination were opened and the following results are reported. For the position of Commander, Scott Simms and Jerry Rowe were nominated both declined. SVC position was filled at last meeting and will remain the same. JVC Jim Rogers was nominated. John Corbin was nominated for 3rd Year Trustee, Trustees Wright and Schrauben move up to 2nd and 1st year. Comrade Burnett was nominated for Quartermaster and accepted the nomination. Nominations will reopen at the April meeting followed by elections.
The Commander made a recommendation that the Post donate P5000 to the FRALICS. Comrade Rowe made a motion to approve the P5000 and make this a yearly donation and be entered in the next budget. Seconded by Comrade Corbin. Carried.

FRALICS Apr 15-17. Golf Tournament Apr 15th. The Chili Cook-off on 16 Apr and the Beauty Contest and raffle drawing on 17 Apr.
VFW Dept of Pacific Convention will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand 5-9 June.
District Meeting at Post 9892 Bauang, LaUnion, 12 April
No more VA Outreach this year, they will be combined with Embassy Outreaches.
Fifty/fifty: was P3000, P1500 to the winner.
CLOSING CEREMONIES: Closing Ceremonies were held according to Ritual and the meeting was adjourned at 11:10. The next GMM will be held 14 Apr at 1000 hours at the Post Home. The date was changed from 13 Apr due to some officers attending the District meeting on the 12th and would not make it back for the meeting in time. Charter remained draped for LM Gary Washburn.
