Minutes of Meeting May 2018

Scratch held on 3 MAY 2018 at VFW 11447 Post Home

Scratch was called to order at 1400. There were 7 Pup Tent 11 Cooties at the Scratch.

Opening ceremonies were held IAW MOC Rituals.

Roll call was held: 7 Shavetails were in attendance.

SS asked if there were any new member applications:No applications

SS asked if there was Degree Work to be completed:Degree work for Atom CASTLE STILL pending.

SS asked if the minutes from the last Scratch had been posted: Hungry Cootie said that the Minutes for the APR Scratch were posted at the Post home and emailed to members. No changes have been received. Motion to accept the minutes as posted seconded by Cootie #84, Cootie #30 made the motion. No discussion. Motion carried

SS asked for report of the Hungry Cootie: NTR

SS asked for reading of official and other communications: No communications

SS asked if there was a Cootie or family of a Cootie in distress:Cootie #68 still at home resting. No update on Cootie #85’s father. SS (Simms) had medical (liver) problems and spent some time at Clark Medical Center. Out of hospital now and on medication. UPDATES SINCE THE SCRATCH: Cootie #86 slipped and broke his hip and was admitted to TMCC for hip replacement. He was to be release but suffered a relapse, and put back into ICU with lung problems. Probably out in a day or two. Non Cootie Jerry Williams (former Post member) was admitted to TMCC following a stroke and had gone into a coma. He died on 15 MAY. .

SS asked for the report of the CCDB:Report was given in detail. Cootie # 62 seconded a motion to accept the report as presented. Motion made by Cootie # 79. Motion carried. Cash and Bank total was $1668, cash in the General Fund $541 and in the Hospital Fund $1127 as of 30 APR 2018


Membership:As of 1 APR we have 16 Life and 15 Annuals for a total of 31 active Coots.

National Home Prayer: Delivered by the Sky Pilot.

Hospital Chairman Report: Chairman gave the report for APR visits. 12 Cooties made 6 visits, saw 6 patients at hospital/home visits. Spent 38 hours in visits’, and travel 405 miles. Total: $913.80..

Scholarship Kids: Kids wll spend a day this month at APO Resort in Subic City. Carmen Mejo has made arrangements and will purchase meal items, etc. Jerry Rowe is assisting her. Getting two life guards to protect the kids in the pool.

Check for the Convention book ads were mailed to Bob Zaher.

New Business

Cootie #87 was elected as PT11 Delegate

All Cooties should become National Home and Paddy Daddy life members. You can find info in the ROF and Typhoon. Also a RED STAR Life Member ($100 plus LM dues if a annual member). Any questions see the Seam Squirrel or CCDB..

Cootie #30 is starting to get ready to redo the PT Handbook of Procedures and Ritual. All Coots are requested to review the book and submit and recommendations/changes or additions to Cootie #30 (Jerry Rowe).

Fines collected: P800 ($16.00).

Buddy Poppies: P280 ($5.60)

50/50was P1600, P800 to Cootie Verville which was donated to the relief fund.

Closing of the Scratch was done IAW Ritual.

Scratch closed at 14.30. Next Scratch will be held at 1400, 7 Jun at the Post home (subject to change).
