Scratch held on 2 MAY 2019 at VFW 11447 Post Home

Scratch was called to order at 1359. There were 10 Pup Tent11 Cooties at the Scratch.

Opening ceremonies were held IAW MOC Rituals.

Roll call was held: 9 Shavetails were in attendance, two absent (both excused).

Visitors of note:Mike Verville Commander, VFW Department of the Pacific, Supreme District 15 Senior Vice Councilman

SS asked if there were any new member applications:HC said no applications.

SS asked if there was Degree Work to be completed:No Degree Work

SS asked if the minutes from the last Scratch had been posted: Hungry Cootie said that the minutes were posted and sent by email to all PT Cooties, No changes were made to the minutes. Cootie 86 seconded the motion that the minutes be accepted as posted. Motion made by Cootie 30. Minutes approved.

SS asked for report of the Hungry Cootie: NTR

SS asked for reading of official and other communications: No communications

SS asked if there was a Cootie or family of a Cootie in distress:Cootie 81 has medical problems and may be returning to the states for medical treatment next month. Cootie #68 was not present at the Scratch, he was here last month and looking better than previous months.

SS asked for the report of the CCDB:Report was given in detail. Cootie # 30 seconded a motion to accept the report as presented. Motion made by Cootie #85. Motion carried. Cash and Bank total was $1208.28, cash in the General Fund $123.22, Hospital Fund $858.06 and Pacific House $225.00 as of 1 MAY 2019.


Membership:As of 1 MAY we have 16 Life and 14 Annuals for a total of 30 active Coots. Annual 2019 dues can be paid if you haven’t done so already, see the CCDB. Dues are $35.00 or Peso equivalent. To date , 14 annual Cooties have paid 2019 dues. Commencing 2019-2020 term, any annual members not paid will be dropped.

National Home Prayer: Delivered by the Sky Pilot.

Hospital Chairman Report: Chairman gave the report for APR visits, 12 Cooties made 100 visits, spent 299 hours in visits and traveled 1570 miles. Total:$6,962.25.

New Business

2nd made by SS/Cootie #84, motion made by Cootie #30 that Mike Verville Cootie #79 be PT 11's official delegate to the Grand of the Pacific Saipan Convention. Motion carried.

2nd made by SS/Cootie #84, motion made by Cootie #30 that Mike Verville Cootie #79 be PT 11's official delegate to the Supreme Orlando Convention. Motion carried.

2nd made by SS/Cootie #84, motion made by Cootie #30 that PT 11 officially support Mike Verville Cootie #79 Supreme District 15 Councilman during the Supreme Orlando Convention. Motion carried.

Good of the Scratch:

FIL/AM Day will be held on 6 July this year. Raffle tickets are on sale. Two prizes 1st place 75,000 pesos and 2nd place 25,000 pesos.

Memorial Day (will be celebrated 27 May this year). AL Post 123 will host the event at Clark cemetery, 1000. The Post will provide a wreath with PT11, 11447, FRA 367and Post 4. FRA will do the Two Bell Ceremony. Also a small wreath or flowers will be available to do a small ceremony for Paul P. Busek at his grave site.

50/50 Total was P2000, P1000 to the winner Cootie #86 Lee Vatter and P1000 to the PT.

Fines collected: P1800. Buddy Poppies: P850. NHFC P1000.

NHFC Donations collected 2018-2019 to date $225.00 and P1000 pesos.

Closing of the Scratch was done IAW Ritual.

Scratch closed at 1540. Next Scratch will be held at 1400, 6 June at the Post Home.
